What started as a simple idea to get people off the streets of London while motivating those who have lost hope and bringing some kind of meaning to the life of many street vendors caught on amongst other European cities raising awareness and helping address problems and difficulties that these people face in their daily lives. Our students did some serious research into what led to the birth of “The Big Issue” and that of a movement to get homeless people motivated which followed when a simple idea spread its wings across Europe.
