Bringing the value of “Joy of Effort” to life
“The important thing in life is not the triumph but the fight; the essential thing is not to have won, but to have fought well.”
by Pierre de Coubertin
During the academic year 2014-2015 a group of Senior High School students of the first class were inspired by the value of “Joy of Effort” and came up with their own inspiring project.
They decided to select the biographies of highly-motivated politicians, athletes and academics who have made a lasting contribution towards creating a better world.
They also collected “Joy of Effort” quotes from these people to which they responded by producing various posters and a video that both succeeded in originality. Finally, the students proved that what really counts is the Joy found in Effort.
This project stimulated thinking, improved their ability to concentrate and proved that the right to the “Joy of Effort” belongs to everyone.
